We have been so fortunate to be apart of a great CSA this year in our lovely little town and I’m so thrilled with the results we’ve had so far.  But nothing compares to what we were blessed with this week. *Sorry for the fuzzy phone pic!

Hello CSA!

1 lb. green beans
1 pt. blackberries
1 pt. blueberries
1 head cabbage
2 cucumbers
1 green pepper
1 purple perrper
1 pt. cherry tomatoes
1/2 lb pattypan squash
5 red potatoes
5 onions — 3 white, 2 red
Grip of green onions
6 small corn

So excited about all the yummy, fresh summer veggies and recipes that will be coming out of my kitchen soon!  Yiippee!

  1. that’s awesome. i feel like my friends just get nothing but greens… which i’m okay with some, but not 30 pounds. i want to be a part of YOUR csa 🙂 although, our little garden is doing pretty good, if i can only get xander to not eat the tomatoes before getting in the house. viv

  2. It looks like you hit the load with your CSA! I recommend slicing your squash into thin slices, coating them in corn meal, and frying them in a skillet with oil for a few minutes. It’s not unhealthy as it sounds and it gives a nice flavor.
