Every so often, we are marked my tragedy. We spend much of our time together laughing, playing games, loving others, and enjoying life. Some days, we cry together, we hug, we soak in life.
Today has been one of those days as we have mourned the loss of a Georgetown student. Life is short. Hug those you love. Life is too short not too.
In your embrace, please remember our campus. This has been a tough year for us, especially our Lambda Chi’s who have experienced much tragedy lately, and now the loss of a fraternity brother. Remember this student’s family. Tragedy is tough, but especially so young and so untimely.
Pray for our students, pray for our staff–it can be tough to be “on” for others and lack the time to process personally.
Also, pray for the open doors of conversation this is going to bring. I have experienced some already and am praying for those to come–in the form of questioning God, life, others, everything they’ve known.
For each of you who are choosing to read this, please know how much I love and treasure the special relationship I have with each of you.
